Motörhead lançará uma edição de 20º aniversário de seu álbum Kiss of Death, originalmente lançado em 2006. O material chegará às lojas em formatos 2LP e 2CD no dia 3 de julho.
Junto com o anúncio, o Motörhead também divulgou um novo lyric video oficial para a faixa “God Was Never on Your Side”, criado por Andy Pilkington. O vídeo pode ser conferido abaixo.
O 18º álbum da banda contou ainda com participações especiais de peso, como C.C. DeVille, guitarrista do Poison, e Zoltán “Zoli” Téglás, conhecido por trabalhos com Ignite e Pennywise, na música “God Was Never on Your Side”. Já Mike Inez, baixista do Alice In Chains, participou da faixa “Under the Gun”.
A nova edição também inclui o áudio de um show transmitido por rádio, gravado durante a apresentação da banda no festival Lowlands Festival, em Biddinghuizen, na Holanda, no ano de 2007. Como prévia, a banda disponibilizou a performance de “Killed by Death”, já disponível nas plataformas de streaming.
Kiss of Death recebeu uma nova masterização em half-speed para esta edição comemorativa e traz novas notas escritas por Dave Ling em homenagem a Phil Campbell, diante de seu recente falecimento. Além disso, a edição em CD contará com três faixas bônus.
